Text Message Terms

What this is

Peninsula Life Church Updates is the church's text message program. We use it to send church news, event reminders, service times and changes, and messages for groups and ministries you belong to.

How you join

You join by giving the church your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts from us, for example on a connect card, a sign-up form, or when you join a group or ministry. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of attending, giving, joining a group, or anything else the church offers.

How often

Message frequency varies. Most people get a few texts a month, and more around a big event or a change to a service.

Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us. We will send one message confirming that you have opted out, and then no more. Reply START to join again.

Your number

We do not sell or share your mobile number, or your agreement to receive texts, with anyone for marketing. The full details are in our privacy policy.

The fine print

Carriers are not responsible for texts that are delayed or not delivered.
